Kips Template ("the Service") is a visual design editor that runs entirely inside your web browser. Kips Technology ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the limited data the Service touches. This policy explains what data is processed, why, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who is the data controller
The data controller for the Service is Kips Technology. You can reach us at sahidinf@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
The free, public editor does not require an account, sign-up, or sign-in. We do not transmit your designs, uploaded media, fonts, or template selections to any server we control.
- Designs & uploads are stored locally on your device using
IndexedDBandlocalStorage. They never leave your device unless you export and share them. - Preferences (theme, language, recent panels) are stored locally in your browser.
- Account data (optional) — only if you sign in for cloud sync or team workspaces. We then process your email, display name, hashed password, and the projects you choose to upload.
- Crash & performance metadata (optional) — anonymized device tier, frame rate, and exception counters may be reported when you opt in via the in-app settings. They never include your designs or text content.
3. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
- Performance of a contract — to operate the editor and any account features you sign up for.
- Legitimate interest — to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
- Consent — for optional analytics or personalized advertising where it applies.
- Legal obligation — to respond to lawful requests from authorities.
4. Cookies & local storage
We use the browser's native local-storage APIs (IndexedDB, localStorage, Cache Storage) to persist your work and preferences. The full breakdown — categories, retention, and how to opt out — is in our Cookie Policy.
5. Third-party advertising (Google AdSense & AdMob)
If advertising is enabled on a deployment of the Service:
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on the Service.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this and other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
- We comply with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework where applicable, and respect EU/UK consent signals.
- On Android (AdMob), you may reset or opt out of your advertising ID under Settings → Google → Ads. On iOS, see Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
6. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
Because your data lives in your browser, it inherits your device's security model. For optional cloud features, we use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS), salted password hashing, and short-lived signed session tokens. We recommend keeping your operating system and browser up to date.
8. International transfers
The Service is delivered via a global edge network. When optional cloud features are used, processing may occur in jurisdictions outside your country. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and equivalent safeguards for transfers from the EEA / UK.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email sahidinf@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents
Under the CCPA / CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Contact us at the address above to exercise these rights.
10. Data retention
Local data persists on your device until you clear browser data or delete the project. Optional cloud account data is retained for the lifetime of the account; deleted accounts are purged within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page along with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
